Greetings

Throughout the Autumn, you’re invited to join PRALER in a collective journey of reflection and action as we mark 100 years of Malcolm X, Frantz Fanon and Patrice Lumumba and the ongoing struggles for sovereignty that define this historical moment.

Reparations Season is a time of harvest—of gathering our efforts, our knowledge, and our resistance. We come together to reflect on the unfinished legacies of resistance for human dignity, recognizing the profound relevance of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, and demanding that it is no longer just a declaration, but a call to action.

This month, we’ll analyze what it takes to build a world where grassroots leadership is not only heard but centered. We’ll explore the need for a multipolar world where justice is not fragmented but global—and we’ll examine the integral role of reparations in this movement. At a time of rising fascist violence, we must continue to come together to establish the networks and plans of action to achieve a world of just peace, equity and self-determination.

At the beginning of September we participated in the Workers Planet event taking place alongside the TUC congress in Brighton, discussing the need for a new story and the need for people in communities to tell their own stories.

This is the educational revolution we are building and there are many ways in which you and your community can get involved.

All of October - Afrecycle

During the month of October communities around the country are collecting second hand technology such as phones, laptops and recording equipment which will go directly to Communities of Resistance as part of the Afrecycle project. This is a direct challenge addressing the unequal access to technology enforced by neo-colonialism. Read more and sign up here!

8th October - Bristol

We are launching a Glocal Planet Repairs Noticeboard in Bristol (followed by one launched in Stroud) with an evening of music, poetry and shared education, hearing directly from Communities of Resistance in the AES. Read more and sign up here!

9th-12th October - The World Transformed - Manchester

Together with PARISC we have partnered with the event which coincides with the 80th anniversary of the 5th Pan-african Congress that took place in Manchester in 1945, which was a pivotal moment for the emerging anti-colonial struggles of that time. Read more and sign up here!

18th October - Afrikan Reparations Conference - London

The All Party Parliamentary Group for Afrikan Reparations is organising its yearly conference and we welcome you all to join us there. 25th October - Thomas Sankara, “Dare to invent the future” - Oxford

Talks, music, food and discussion on the Pan-Afrikan thought and enduring political legacy of one of West Afrikas foremost revolutionaries. Saturday the 25th October, 4-10pm, Fusion Arts, 15 Park End Street, OX1 1HH

30th October - The PRALER Fund Campaign - Online

There is a role in the campaign for everyone who want to make a practical contribution to reparatory justice. Read more and sign up here!

Contribute to the PRALER Fund

We are not relying on conventional funders to organise the educational revolution but instead we are establishing our own grassroots fund, The PRALER Fund, led by Communities of Resistance.

In the coming months we need 100 new people to sign up to make a monthly contribution in order to sustain our work, and anything from the cost of a cup of coffee will make a difference.

Contributor-Advocates are organising in their communities to build support for the fund and to adocate for a Just Restitution of resources, and you can sign up to join the action-learning process below.

If you want discuss how you and your community could get involved with these action-learning processes please contact us via email on praler@riseup.net and we can take it from there.

In solidarity

The PRALER Administration Team
